They can’t even enforce the speed limits in CA; gonna love to see them try to enforce this new law along with the other 800 other laws that just went into effect.

It's funny how they think they can enforce all this petty crime bullchit when they can't even stop violent crime and mass looting.

That's the thing: they can and will enforce these petty laws, whereas they aren't actually trying to stop violent crime and mass looting. It's textbook anarcho tyranny

They want you to throw your food waste in your green bin instead of the blue bin.

Are you going to be okay?

They can't enforce it. They've been doing this crap in WA state for years already and it's a joke. Every year we get a booklet from the waste company about what can/can't go in each bin. I've never followed it anywhere near how they want and they have never said anything to me. We were even made aware they had new high tech trucks with cameras and chit to see what was coming out. Nobody cares, you really think those drivers are going to come down the driveway and confront people? Libs just want to be able to get them feelz of doing something...anything. lmao....

I remember when they banned putting Styrofoam in the garbage, I just put it in a black bag in the garbage and they take it anyways. Been doing this for like 15 years.

I'm pretty sure we are not suppose to even put that in the recycle bin. Just way too many do's and don'ts with every little thing. It's ridiculous...

Fair answer. Mine is still simple, paper, plastic, and metal in recycle bin, everything else in the garbage bin. I wouldn't comply either if they over complicate what should be dead simple.

Okay, I retract wherever I was headed with this. I didn't consider that some places were doing more than just the two bins.

All fake nonsense. They incinerate the styrofam anyway. I lived in an ultra lib college town a couple of years after I finished college. At the dumpster they had no less than 9 different bins for you to separate things besides regular garbage. Green bottles in this bin, clear in this. Newspaper and phonebooks (wut??) in this bin, steel cans in this bin, aluminum in this, etc, etc. Even as someone brainwashed and unaware that 92% of it all ends up at the dump or is burned (more microplastics into the air) after 6 months I just threw it all in the garbage dumpster.

Practically every scrap will end up rotting away at the same garbage dump. And the separate trucks that pick up these bins separately to carry on this charade - they use a lot of diesel fuel - shame on you!! Shame on you!!!

Just more threats to keep you obedient and afraid of Big Brother.

Thing is they don't pay the garbage men nearly enough for them to dig through everyone's trash with a fine tooth comb and give a chit.

so if you have leftovers, you have to empty the food in the green, and then place the empty container in the "paper"..? Well wtf are you supposed to put in the actual trash? Dog chit and kitty litter?

90-95% of those bins end up at the same place as your regular garbage.
The metal is the only thing that has a chance of getting recycled. So you drive a bin of old tuna cans (remind you of sophomore year?), Labatt Blue cans, random metal to a dump on your own time? Stahp, no you don't.

Canada, making sure the raccoon population stay thriving!!!
Imagine keeping all of your food waste in a separate bin that you probably only get taken away every 2-3 weeks. Not just the smell, but if you live someplace warm imagine all the cockroaches. Cockroaches will eat eat human feces left out on the sidewalk. Well played California. I sea wut you did there.

Lol fukking wat? So you have 6 (six!) different categories of chit to toss and they expect you to keep up with that? Imagine having to roll out a different bin every day LMAO. Probably why they didn't wanna give you a sixth for the metal. Insanity.

My parents don't even use their green and blue bins they just buy heavy duty black bags (that wont tear open) and throw everything away in their large grey bin. The guys collecting garbage don't have the time to check every bag they throw in their truck. They've been doing it like that every since the State rolled out the different colored bins (about 15 years ago) and they haven't gotten fined yet.

Well, they don't pick up trash for all the colored bins every week. For example, they know people have less recycling than regular garbage.

There's still little to no way to enforce it. This law is for, and most likely passed by HOA members that want to be able to fine their neighbors for more petty nonsense, and this time it won't be just a HOA rule, they'll actually have the State on their side.

So if a neighbor continues to use their trash bins inappropriately they can call the city on their neighbor.

I know, it sounds rediculous, but there are people out there with nothing better to do than police their neighbors.

Where it’s legal for customers to steal $500 worth of sh!t from the store

But it’s illegal for the employee to throw the bunch of brown bananas that are starting to stink into the trash bin
