I really think that movie studies could save themselves tons of money by simply asking their customers what they think of an upcoming movie idea before they start investing in it.

Like they could ask the typical star wars fan if they want to see a movie full of feminist crab and man bashing. No sci fi fun or any of that stuff, just social justice crap.

Then if the fans say no, they can pitch a different idea. It would save the investors millions.

i do chuckle when they insinuate men are sexist for not watching the movie

ya know, women dug this stuff way before disney tried so hard to cater to them. women loved pirates of the caribbean, and it had a very strong female character in elizabeth swann. it didn't feel like a feminist power movement at the time; she was simply a big part of the story naturally. women loved the animated films too, even though the princess gets saved by a man.

it's so odd to me that they've completely forgotten how all this works and instead are doing what they THINK women want. Iger was just saying like 2 weeks ago they were turning a corner on all this stuff, and then they announce this hire.

Star Wars is among the easiest franchises to make $1 billion with every movie. Every time a star wars project fails, they blame it on star wars fatigue or other some such nonsense. It's ridiculous. Star wars fans aren't tired of Stars Wars, they're tired of Disney's vision for Star Wars.

No joke as I made my first post I was saying to myself "I think if they put me in charge of a Star Wars movie, I could make a billion", lol. I have no artistic talent whatsoever, but I have enough sense to hire people that do. The point is the bar is absurdly low, and they still keep tripping over it. Big companies love money. Originally it was hard for me to believe they would self-sabotage on purpose to push and agenda, but it is getting really hard to think anything else.

The funny thing is i am pretty sure Women didn't show up for the Marvel's either.. more men probably watched that garbage

Disney needs to die at this point.. or get so bad it needs to sell Star Wars/Pixar/Marvel etc

Not only are you picking Rey to "carry" another trilogy.. you choose a women to direct who has no background in directing something like this
