Meh, I could get Hulk Hogan's autograph for $10 and listen to him tell the tale of how Metallica tried to recruit him to play bass.

then I thought about how fkn cringey as fuk it would be to stand in a giant line waiting to talk to some fitness youtuber who will put up a fake smile to sell an overpriced t-shirt to me

now mfers are paying for a fake handshake

We should not support someone who negatively influences younger generations to abuse steroids.

Regardless of his accolades in the industry and ability to grift as a result, he is putting people at risk by normalizing extreme steroid abuse.

He is a danger to the community and should not be recognized for that.

Sam juices big, eats big and lifts heavy in a bro split/broscience type of way. People like seeing that.

You can only watch/listen to the nerds that go on and on about science and claim natty but are secretly doping for so long.

remember how before for anyone to actually give a **** you had to be at the top echelons of your respective field/sport/competition/w.e? now any "influencer" or online "personality" is asking 50 dollars for a picture because they say random **** into a camera and upload it lol.

Odds are if you “abuse” steroids you won’t ever look like Sam still tbh

He doesn’t need to talk about it to be a walking billboard for it. He wears the label everywhere. He promotes it every time he is in front of a camera.

I actually really appreciate this perspective. I appreciate the freedom of expression and don’t believe people should be compelled to behave a certain way just because of other people’s feelings. I whole heatedly agree with you.

I would suggest, when someone develops a following of individuals, they have an inherent responsibility to behave in a way that will protect their followers. That is a personal feeling I have, and I am projecting my own values.

It's a bit much. There are lots of teenage kids, pregnant mothers, elderly at the gym just trying to get a workout in and improve themselves.

Not be fkn background fodder in his social media videos.

And another thing, this mother fker is constantly breaking the machines, especially the cabled ones. The cables are rated for a specific weight, usually the entire stack.

Big ass Sam comes along, adds a 45 to the damn pin itself for added weight, lo & behold the cables snap and the machines are down.

He even talks about adding weight to the pin in his videos.

I'm 36. I've a lot of peers my age that started using juice at 18 years old in HS. Long before 'social media' and influencers.

Long before Sam came along and influencers started admitting to being on TRT/Gear. We've had teens juicing. Lots of HS kids go to my gym. Not uncommon for brahs in the 18-20 range to run cycles. I'd say a large portion of lifters acknowledge nobody is truly natty in the fitness/lifting realm. And you've got to juice to make noticeable gains.

People are more influenced to use juice by their friends/people in their gym then some random dude on social media.

idk about that. at this point ive been lifting in commercial gyms for around 12 years. in the past 4 or so years i have visibly noticed a hyoooge increase in these little kids being on ****. theres no way that isnt in some way caused by how popular "fitfluencers" have become and how open talk of steroids and sarms has become.

that isnt me putting direct blame on on sam sulek though, just talking in general. i dnt watch sam suleks **** idk wtf he promotes or doesnt promote, and tbh idc.

the amount of little sarm goblin broccoli heads i see running around the gym here is insane.
