Going Skiing next month. Vail or Whistler?
Haven't been to either before (normally go Europe) although I've been once before in the US to Stowe, Vermont.
From what I can see
Whistler:
WAYYY more to do in the town
Everything is much cheaper than vail
Skiing is still Top 5 in the world
Chances that it COULD rain and snow is not as reliable
Skiable mountain range is small
Vail:
Way more expensive and $90/day resort fees
More skiable terrain
Guaranteed better weather
Great restaurants in town
Good skiing, usually #1 in the World.
Wat do.
Thinking of Whistler because I haven't been to Canada or Vancouver before and it's meant to be better for heli skiing too

You sure vail is only $90 a day? Do you have some kind of discount? Was almost $300 a day last winter....
I'd check snow conditions. I don't think Colorado has had the best winter so far. It's been dry.
Personally I'd go to either whistler, Jackson hole Wyoming or big sky Montana. Colorado skiing is over priced, over crowded, and dont get nearly as much snow as those other 3 resorts. Plus the scenery of those 3 is way better than Vail

I'm going to Breckenridge next month. Misc meetup!
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Go to Aspen OP if you haven't booked yet.
best town and 3 mountains you can ski (Aspen, Highlands, Snowmass)
My favorite.
Was at Jackson Hole last year and stayed at the Four Seasons, it is ski in ski out. Great mountain but once it gets dark there is nothing to do if you stay on the mountain

Sounds like you've confirmed it for me!
I usually do Europe, so this is a bit new to me.

Have you seen the videos of lineups and the conditions at Whistler lately? It's a waste of time to even go if you want to ski.

Its cheaper to go to Europe...I didnt believe it until I ran the numbers.
I personally cant stand Vail and used to love Breck. I've heard Breck has been ruined though.

Skiing in Europe is more affordable than skiing in America. Here’s a cost analysis of my 3-day ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado vs. the Alps. Verdict? Colorado was $3,400 vs. the Alps at $1,400.

Seriously recommend checking big sky Montana. It's my favourite mountain. Absolutely beautiful area too near Yellowstone.

I've had the icon and epic passes and big sky and Jackson hole are my 2 favorites. Steamboat is fun too but really busy now with long lift lines.

You've managed to pick the most overpriced sterile cringe resorts in the US. Given the cost of skiing in the US generally, wtf mate? Go to Austria and have a good time like a normal person.
