These idiots had the golden opportunity to make Jim Jordan the Speaker, and they didn't do it. Instead they threw some no-name MAGA guy in there that got all the bad press, but without the same promises of having some balls. Jordan might have caved on some chit too, but it would have been nice to at least seen him finally face the realest tests of them all.

In any case, aside from someone like that, no one else would be much different than Mike Johnson and McCarthy before him he been anyway. If they actually try to remove him, the GOP is royally screwed. Might as well just voluntarily hand the Speakership over to the Dems at this point.

The soy speaker was clearly going to be spineless. I mean, his name is Mike Johnson. It doesn't get any more plain than that. The majority of GOP are spineless, worthless, slugs.

McCarthy was a Bohemian Grove member and a globalist. He had to go. Mike Johnson is fine. Let’s not pull chit chit again. It makes the party look inept.

We should definitely get him out of there since nothing has changed.

Who are you worried about thinking the party will look inept? They already are inept.

This is the typical lifecycle of a congressman.
1. Act like a radical wingnut to get the extremist base all frothing at the mouth that you're some hardline radical.
2. Take a hard line towards leadership while the more senior members "cave" to the other side to keep the country working.
3. Get the backing of the extremist base for a leadership position because you will deliver all of their priorities and never compromise like the current spineless leader (who also was a ideological extremist years ago...)
4. Realize you can't get anything done and the government will completely shut down and you will be blamed if you don't compromise.
5. Get called a spineless plant for the opposition party for compromising so that the country doesn't completely fail.
6. Get voted out for the latest ideological radical who will never compromise with the evil opposition...

Johnson is at step 4, working on completing step 5. This might be a record in speed through the cycle. At this pace, the GOP will be replacing speakers weekly pretty soon, until someone truly stupid like MTG takes the position and the country actually does fail. This has happened with every GOP speaker at least back to Boehner. They all got the speaker's gavel for being hard line conservatives only to be replaced for being spineless establishment just because they did what every speaker has to do to keep the country running. It's pretty hysterical to watch over and over and over.

The goal is for that cycle to change by electing someone who has the spine to break it. I don't care how many Speaker elections need to happen for that to occur.

For what it's worth, I have no idea what threats and bribes get pitched to Speaker candidates but I am sure both are substantial. IMO It's a more important position than POTUS. And I'm sure a representative of the Rothschild empire is close by to make sure it stays business as usual (just a personal belief).

Opportunity for what? To expose Jordan as being full of hot air and not actually believing the rants against whoever he's making? Dude takes money from Google. Hasn't actually done anything. Only talks big.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

We can agree on a Speaker, we want a Speaker who speaks with the voice of R voters, who acts in the voter's stated interests and does not try to convince them they want something different.

We don't care what that persons name is.

We want a person who represents us.

Most of them got elected solely because they were socially inept malcontents who yelled really loud at town hall meetings during covid. Now they're at the point where they are in the same room together and yell really loud at each other.
