If they provide a useful skillset, have no recourse to public funds (cannot claim housing, welfare etc), don't commit crime and will adapt to the host culture, bring them in.

The amount matters too though. There needs to be a cap or we end up like Canada.

what i was trying to get at - if you own a house it's really expensive to get things taken care of if you only hire people born in america. the poll completely went against my hypothesis either way.
