Every single species on earth reproduces and passes on a portion of their DNA to the next generation; which in a way is a form of reincarnation. The same DNA that makes up you (including your consciousness) is reborn into a new body.

All this mystical crap you read about in religious texts is just fake made up stories that people choose to believe.

If our DNA is reincarnated into our progeny (and thus we are reincarnated as our progeny) wouldn’t you want your progeny to be smarter, healthier, and better looking than yourself? Wouldn’t you want your progeny to be born wealthier so they wouldn’t have to waste years of their life struggling to achieve things you already achieved in this lifetime?

Religions teach people to be content being poor, give your wealth away, leave nothing behind to your progeny, don’t try to marry the smartest, fittest, best looking mate you can to set your progeny up for success…. Your reward is in heaven where there are mansions waiting for you…. In reality to best way to set yourself up for success after you die is by practicing eugenics when choosing a mate and leaving as much wealth and knowledge behind for your offspring so that you will hopefully be reincarnated into a rich and successful and smart and good looking healthy body.


The people who run all the religions are essentially telling their followers to do the opposite, give them all of your wealth, and you’ll be rewarded after you die….. but they themselves are setting up their families and their bloodlines to be rich and powerful (king James published the Bible, did he give away his wealth or did he set up his progeny to be the royal family for eternity?)

Reincarnation is probably real because the same Genes your ancestors had are the same genes you have and your children will have.

No one knows how life began or how life will end, stop believing made up stories from people written thousands of years ago… those religions were created to enrich the creators of those religions and their families

Who wrote the first 5 books of the Bible? Moses did, and it reads like a guideline for conquering lands and setting up wealth for his progeny (the descendants of Abraham); it even tells them to practices eugenics by forbidding mating with certain undesirable people in the region (canaanites, etc) and committing genocide on the previous inhabitants (such as at jericho)

Here’s the thing though…. Jesus never wrote a single book…. All that stuff was Attributed to him by his disciples…. How do we know they didn’t just use Jesus’s notoriety & fame to enrich themselves by creating a religion that told people to give their “church” all of your money and in return you’ll be rewarded after you die? Paul persecuted Christian’s until he realized how much money he could make off of people… then he started the church and wrote most of the books of the New Testament.

The gospels history and revisions and contradictions are a mess.

I don't put stock in the miracles, prophecy, scapegoat salvation. However, the teachings attributed to the character Jesus can stand on their own. I read him more as an enlightened stoic.

In my view, which is panentheism, the recommendation to love God is also one to not hate yourself and your situation...whatever it may be like. That's not productive.

The golden rule in my view falls out as common sense. All the other people are in lives you'd live exactly the same if you were in their exact shoes. Down to the biology and history. We're truly linked. And since I think due to Occam's razor there is only one subject of experience...if you're kind to others then you're kind to yourself as well.

I'm a heretic. I don't go in for organized religion very much, which I see as founded on misunderstanding and probably intentional misleading in many cases. I don't hold it against people who do, though. If that's what they need to feel a connection to the sacred, spiritual or divine then that's all good so long as it doesn't come with doing harm to others.

the soul stays the same always, but the body it occupies changes from life to life. That process of the soul moving into a new body is what reincarnation is. Has nothing to do with the genes parents pass down to their offspring. Every living thing has a soul, and all of those souls are in essence the same soul.

People who believe in reincarnation do-so because they cannot be content with their life and they also can't come to terms with their own mortality and death. Funniest part is that reincarnation believers also seem to believe in some sort of higher enlightenment meanwhile being so ego-driven they create a false reality to satisfy their ego and cope harder.

You live and you die. You don't get to play the game over and over indefinitely. Reincarnation is bullchit. Enlightenment is bullchit. Human beings live and die and the human experience is one of highs and lows, suffering and pain, pleasures of the flesh and spirit and is ends in death for the individual. You can "live on" through the lives you created and the people you influenced but not by coming back in a fresh new human suit over and over.

I didn't read any of that wall of text but I agree if you have to pick anything "afterlife" related reincarnation makes the most sense. Granted there's clearly many holes in that theory as well.

Energy is neither created nor destroyed, so if something dies it would seem that energy could "shift" into another being. Like I said all kinds of holes in this of course but technically it makes more sense than a fictional world in the sky that your soul visits to reconnect with all lost loved ones.

Like you said, all the different religions are just grifters, trying to separate people from their collected wealth and resources in order to redistribute it among people who did nothing to earn it.

A large portion of it the religions leaders keep for themselves and a small portion they use to attract new recruits. Some of them will even take your money and recruit you and your family members to waste your time and go on a "mission" to attract new recruits. Peak cuckoldry!
