They didn't really "tap" back in Bret's day. They had to say "I give up" or the ref calls it after the arm drops 3 times. Tapping out came around when Ken Shamrock started, which was more toward the end of Bret's heyday.
What was the match where his mom threw in the towel? Does that count a s a submission win for Mr. Backlund?
