I don't give a chit that she voted against Paul Ryan tax cuts, but yea she's historically been trash on the most important issue.
I am not sure why so many people think that his VP should be a woman. It's really not going to matter, Blumpf or any other Republican is going to be raked over the coals by the media regardless of whether they pick a woman or not. It will be a little bit of "extra" ammunition against them if they don't pick a woman I guess, but it will amount to nothing compared to what else the media is going to hit them with. I don't see it moving the needle.

Stefanik is a strange case because she entered politics as a Dubya Bush aligned Neocon, worked for Romney and sold herself as a “moderate Republican.” Then after January 6th she suddenly became a MAGA conservative. I don’t buy it.

His best option out of people we already think could be picks is probably Vivek. He's young, shares the platform, charismatic, solid in a debate, etc. I still think he's borderline fraudin but no one else is better. And Carson is a complete dud. I can't even believe he's a potential pick.

The pickings are definitely slim when it comes to VP, though.

Today, I introduced a resolution to censure
@RepStefanik
for supporting the Jan 6 insurrectionists, calling these convicted criminals “hostages.”
There's no conduct more unbecoming than supporting those intent on subverting our democracy.
She's brought shame to our institution.

No point to picking a woman for the sake of picking a woman. Women that are swayed by "we need a woman in charge" are already voting for Biden. Maybe it would have worked had Biden not already picked the first (and worst) woman VP last time around.

Trump needs to pick someone more "moderate" for the VP. Trump's already on the ticket, he doesn't need a "Trump lite" VP.

Most people I know say this is the pick.
Removing my personal judgements on the ticket, I think this is a bad move. The plan is to appeal to suburban women. Imo, they will see through this and the herd will smell centrism. Any move that Trump makes to actually play ball in politics will erode his base, people want a chaos candidate.
No such thing as half-way crooks.

This post is spot on, but the hardcore Drumpfers will spin it to expanding the tent nonsense.
They can’t have it both ways. This whole thing is going to be a train wreck. Can’t wait to watch it all unfold.

Therefore, I think Trump should be picking someone who can broaden his appeal beyond his core supporters to try to attract moderates/independents. Since that will help him win. I don't see the point in picking Tucker or Vivek - neither of them will help to attract any additional voters - people who like them are the same as people who like Trump.

She became an AIPAC rockstar with that court hearing, which was a legit hit job, but let's put that aside for a second. She's the Israeli lobby's wet dream, so they probably wrangled up their wagons and told Trump they'll give him absolutely absurd amounts of money if he picks her. I legitimately don't think he cares at all who it is, but he does care about money.
