If LOTR was made today, what would the cast look like?

Got snowed in early this week, decided to plunk in the old Extended versions of the LotR trilogy. Got through most of it, plan to finish Return of the King tonight.

My daughter really enjoyed it and is excited to finish it tonight. We'd watched it before but I guess it's been enough years for her, it's all new for her. One thing that I can not help but wonder - what would this trilogy look like in 2024?

Elves? Orcs? The white and all male Fellowship? The handful of love stories all being straight? Not a single openly gay character or relationship to speak of.

I made this thread asking but the answer is pretty obvious...
