If I were going to buy any piece of equipment for my home, it would be this exact item. Rower is the best longterm full body cardio workout in existence.

Good buy. It will last forever.

I considered a concept 2 when I was deciding on what to get for my one piece of cardio equipment and went the fan bike route, but either one would have worked.

Hell yea. I've been putting it off, but I can no longer. The wife is getting back into working out (after having our daughter about a year ago) and asked me this morning when I was going to buy it. I also need to up my cardio for real......working from home, sitting at a desk all day is really getting to me and every time I run, I get new pains and aches. Really looking forward to using the hell out of this rower.

Would have gotten the bike, I really like the Assault bikes they had at the gym, before we put together our home gym...... but the wife won't use it, says it hurts her cooch sitting on it for too long, lulz.....so a rower it is.

It's the only machine that improves your entire posture as well, which is huge as you get older.

For years we had an old Schwinn Airdyne that I picked up off the local used ads for cheap. My used to run, but that started giving her knee pain, so she switched to the bike. It was the only cardio equipment wife liked well enough to be consistent long term (she's never tried a rower though). A couple years ago one of the bearings went out in the Airdyne. I'd been keeping it limping along with periodic repairs but had trouble sourcing parts for the latest fix, so I just bought an Echo bike. A guy would have to be a fool not to invest in exercise equipment he already knows his wife will use.

If that's your thing then good on you dead srs. It's not a poor investment to invest in your health and interests, and it's great when both of these intersect. I dropped a good chunk of change on my gym when I first built it 5 years ago and it's paying me back every day. I'm considering getting a few other pieces to diversify.

For sure....and looking at these things used (and gym equipment in general) it doesn't really lose value as long as you keep it in good shape......not to mention the "investment" it is in your health and fitness. turning 1/2 my garage into a gym about 2 years ago was not only something I've always wanted to do, but it has made working out so much easier and convenient...which makes us do it more often than we would if we had to drive 15 minutes to the gym and all that chit.

Is the resistance air or magnetic? Assuming this one doesn't require a subscription and other BS that gets attached to equipment now?

I was in a phase where i used this often before a trip, but got quickly bored with it.
Hopefully you can find a great music mix to keep you motivated and use it for years to come.

the trick to not getting bored on them is to compete with their ranking system. Been wanting to get one for the home gym for this reason.

Back in the day in the navy they had rowing machines in the gym with a screen that was connected to the other machines.

You would race against the guy next to you rowing, They had like 4-5 of them too so everyone could race against each other. Always liked doing that. made it fun.
