AI and record deficits holding back recession

Interesting read from a Bloomberg financial strategist

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/un...-recession-bay

My 2 cents based on what's in the article:
AI and ChatGPT have caused a big investment in semiconductor and overall tech spending while other parts of the economy have been going down.

-And government deficit spending is unlike any time since we were in a World War.The federal government is running deficits, 8-9% of GDP, which has only happened since WW2 when we had massive unemployment, the Great Recession (10% unemployment) and the Covid Pandemic (20% peak unemployment).Basically Congress and Biden are STILL spending at levels only seen during mass unemployment, during global crisis

-a chart in the article toward the bottom shows the historical context. Unemployment is low but Congress and Biden are spending as if we were in a world war or in the midst of a Leftist inspired lockdown of the economy. No wonder we haven't hit recession, the govt is spending completely out of step from how employment is. As far as I know this is the only time in US history the government has run deficits of 8-9% with low unemployment
Artificial GDP.

Dems and Republicans are gearing up for ANOTHER stimulus. Reviving old tax breaks for businesses including small businesses, a couple hundred extra dollars per child in child tax credits.

TL;DR/Cliffs:

-EctoCanuck is an illiterate fhaggot
-The govt has never spent like this in a time of low unemployment
-AI has also helped the US from hitting recession
-Recession is guaranteed after the govt spending spree slows
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

If GDP is measured in dollars and you just create more dollars, GDP goes up.

Nope, Biden is running a responsible budget, and the deficit is way down from covid levels. Most Americans are doing really well so the consumer is also holding back a recession.

You already missed that boat, boy-o. Gotta wait for the next stock market panic plunge where retards like Jizzel and ChicagoPizzaBitch tell us it’s all over while the smart people start loading up for some easy profits.

I’ve been literally screaming from rooftops for the past few years that we’re using govt spending to kick the can on the markets / everything, and the end result will be hyper inflation.

I am not a financial advisor and do not give financial advice. I’m just screaming out what I see going on and might possibly comment on what I think would be best.

Also the can kicks and stop loss triggers and chop are absolutely brutal. The best advice is most likely individualized into what people are comfortable with either way without putting all their eggs in one basket.

No worries!

I can't fathom taking direction or advice from the misc - on anything. Save where to direct some anger if one is a devout partisan, maybe
