Is this weird?

I was going to get the folks who just signed a lease on renting my house a bottle of wine or some bourbon and write a little note saying thanks. They're an older couple, mide 30's. She's a nurse, he's in software.

I know everyon'es nice until they're suing you, but I figured a bottle of wine would be okay for a couple who's about to give me six grand in 10 days lol.

What's good landlord policy here bros?

Thanks.

Would not be that weird to leave them a bottle of wine on the counter with a note.

Yeah, giving alcohol as a gift is weird.

You don't know if they drink alcohol. Plenty of people choose not to.

Would not be weird, totally appropriate in my book man.
If they dont drink they could pass it on and appreciate the thought.

Don't listen to these morons.

If you have to ask if something is weird, then odds are that it's weird

I would prefer to never see my landlord.

Agreed. I don't want to be their friend either. I just am doing a small polite gesture since they're allowing me to expand this real estate empire!

Thats why you just leave the bottle of wine on the counter with a note saying "welcome home" or something like that. Don't ring their doorbell at 7pm or anything like that.
