Former world champion pole vaulter Shawn Barber dies at 29

Shawn Barber, a Canadian pole vault world champion and Olympian, has died, his agent, Paul Doyle, announced Thursday. He was 29 years old.

Barber's cause of death is not yet known, but Doyle told the Associated Press that his clienthad been experiencing health issues. Barber reportedly died Wednesday at his home in Kingswood, Texas.

Fyi, full disclosure, and I was sure to make sure nothing specifically was being blamed for this sudden death.

1) Reminder, no official cause of death (although, his manager seems to think it was illness)
2) Dude wasn't just vaulting poles, he was also a LGBTQ: so AIDS is potentially on the table (although isn't that well managed now?)
3) I think he got busted doing PEDs at some point
