How come if you're a guy people look down on a gym obsession

But if you're a girl it's empowering and admirable

Seriously if you lift and talk about it as a man people just label you as a douchebag. It's even worse if you actually look like you lift too. You have to be humble and never talk about it. I only engage in lifting conversations when other people bring it up. You cannot be the one to bring it up if you look like you lift otherwise people just assume you're a self-absorbed ass hold.

But for a woman it's totally ok, and in fact celebrated, to have them flaunt how they went to gym to do hip thrusts and squats for 20 minutes 4 days a week before spending another 20 minutes taking gym selfies for social media and then bounce.

Like.... why the f*ck are men always looked down upon for everything they do in our world today?
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Never talk about the gym unless someone brings it up crew

It’s like an unwritten law

It’s a double standard tbh. With men we look narcissistic and meathead’ish, with women they are seen as healthy and fit

Never talk about the gym to non-lifters. And if anyone makes any comments just tell them you don't workout. You just play a few games of basketball in the park per week and do a few sets of pushups in the morning to get your blood flowing.

It's not just men. As a woman who has been lifting for over 30 years people think I'm weird for lifting and loving it.

This is bitter incel thought...
Why be so sensitive and insecure about something that makes you better than the average person?
I enjoy people judging me because I lift, or look like a douche, because I have a better college degree and better job than most people
Chicks get judged for going to the gym too, brb you look like a dude and its not attractive, brb why do you dress like a total sloot at the gym
