Why is usually just young guys that yell out of cars at people?

You never really see any other sort of person do this other than teenage boys. Usually an insult or just a shrill scream.

It just doesn’t make any sense.

Its a low IQ/immaturity thing. I haven't had it happen for a while but have had lots of times when riding my bike where some kids will just yell something or make some dumb noise.
