Had hard conversation with gf is this common in relationships

Had a hard conversation with her she was down and I was like ok let's talk about the elephant in the room things are rough yes I would want to **** other girls no I'm not completely attracted to you yes you are right it's wrong for me to keep you waiting for marriage after we've been together 5 years she's wondering when I was gonna marry her I said idk tbh maybe in a few more years yes it's kind of wrong for me to keep the relationship in limbo. The thing is I cannot break up with her I cannot have her hurt again.
Then as we were talking she started crying then I started crying and started thinking about all of our good times and was like it's not about looks I cant think of the future without her she's like my partner through bad and good can't imagine the road trips with another girl in the passenger seat I don't think it would be the same so I think I'm gonna marry her
