I know that many here are aware of how the left has misrepresented mccarthy and the communist problems of the time, but this is av ery in dept discussion of what went on not only then, but how it evolved into what we're seeing now.

Some cliff notes:

-McCarthy didn't create this program, he was a senator executing the desire of a committee. They were not after anyone that was an ideological communist, they were looking for literal spies. People that were actively taking orders from foreign governments to undermine the US. It turns out that it was from these sorts of people that Stalin got access to nuclear weapons, for example - we had traitors giving info to the soviets.
-When American leftists began to realize that segregation based on class wouldn't work here because of the American idea that blue collar people can become wealthy, they began focusing on race, gender, etc. The communist goal is division by any means.
-Very interesting info about how the leftist point of view that language is used to manipulate rather than communicate makes them able to say white people are 'black' and black people are 'white' based on whatever agenda they're currently pushing and where those specific people fall into those goals
