Why is weed still illegal on a federal level??

What is Biden and Co. waiting for?? Seems like that should’ve been extremely easy to get taken care of considering the current environment. So not only has he made the country much worse in many ways, I don’t think he’s done much of anything democrats and leftists wanted out of this presidency.

It may seem petty but I honestly want weed to remain illegal just to spite the "dude weed" crowd.

Plus ever since it was legalized here, people are obnoxious as fuk about it. You'll be at a park with your kid and some azzholes will just light up right there.

Because weed is often used as an excuse to for cops/agents to go after suspcions of harder drugs.

I.e., the local cops somewhere tail a suspected dealer for a year or three, thinking he has serious hard drugs. They get real evidence that he illegally sold weed to someone on the black market, and the cops use it as an excuse to search his entire place and cook him and all his roommates to the maximum extent possible.

Basically, nobody cares about weed anymore, not even the feds really. But by keeping it illegal at the federal level, they get to keep that backpocket drug bust trick I mentioned while the states legalize it at the state level. Basically, they go after who they want to go after with it, and that's about it.

Biden thinks Reefer Madness was a documentary. He's been that way his whole career.

He can’t really do it on his own without stirring up a bunch of lawsuits, similar to what he tried with student loans. If the Supreme Court reverses the Chevron case it will be even harder.

Only surefire way is for congress to amend the Controlled Substances Act.

Personally, IDGAF about it.

They have to try to keep up the appearance at least that they arent in the pockets of the cartels.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

HHS has recommended it being classified as schedule 3 instead of schedule 1, since it has medicinal uses. I'd bet it happens in 2026, and who is President won't matter. Kind of irrelevant in most ways since you can get Delta 8 or 10 at hemp shops over the counter in states that have weed (Delta 9) illegal. But yeah it still being schedule 1 is for ulterior motives.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

I think Big Pharma and Co play a big role.

CBD was being attacked a lot too until Big Pharma comes around and puts it into one of their drugs lol
