Uthred on last kingdom

Uthred son of Uthred kills his fat peasant for stealing a log, then the next day goes and kills 50 peasants to steal some silver. Doesn't seem very consistent in his world views. Does this show get any better? The writing seems rather daft. I know it loosely follows the story of Alfred the Great vs the Great Heathen Army.

It's been a while since i've watched TLK so i can't recall specifically what part you're talking about, but yeah it's worth watching. It's a pretty good show by the time it's finished.

Not sure what you mean by his 'world views', the defining feature of Uthred is essentially supposed to be that he's both a Viking and a Saxon, which makes him uniquely suited for his role in the series. I'm not sure he's supposed to be just 'good'. The books by Bernard Cromwell are good too although i've only read a couple of them.

Season 1 has its flaws but it gets better.

There will still be plot inconsistencies but I still thoroughly enjoyed my time watching it.

LMAO

I honestly tried to watch Last Kingdom and Vikings: Valhalla but could not get into either of them. I loved Vikings but man something about the way Netflix produces it's shows makes them complete and total sh*t.

Can't remember which one it was but one of the two literally opens up with some female empowerment bullsh*t scene that wasn't even remotely tolerable. And I'm aware the History channel had it's fair share of female empowerment stuff going on with Lagertha but somehow they managed to do it in a way that didn't make me want to straight hang myself.... it wasn't great but they made it work on some level and still made sure not to detract too much from the real value of the show.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
