I think that she is the type that tried to always look quirky and downplay the sexual look. It was hard to find pictures of her with actual normal makeup and not making some strange face.

Personally, back in the day I think that she was hot, and could have looked a lot better if she actually tried. (Many girls don't look great naturally).
