How do you cope/deal with a job you hate while you wait for the right one to open up?
Currently hate my job, but it pays very well/great benefits etc. I really cant quit, mainly because of those reasons, I have a family to support etc. I am waiting for the right one to come my way, but in the meantime, how do you find the motivation to keep going and doing a good job? I need a good reference from my current boss for the next job that comes, so I cant just slack off and do nothing, but damn it sucks to continue to stay motivated and do a good job right now. Need some tips misc.

Quiet quit
I did that **** at Costco a long time ago. Would show up and do literally nothing. I was pushing carts so I would just take like hour long breaks in my car.
People with heavy chit they want help loading, I'd say sure just pull your car up we can get you loaded up, then I'd just walk away to the back of the parking lot and chill til they left lmao
I'd just sit around sometimes, then if I manager or supervisor said **** to me, I'd go into the office and file a personal injury report and say I was sitting down because I hurt my back
Man I was a piece of **** but that's the type of employee they breed at places like that. Good riddance, one of the most liberating days of my life was quitting that place on the spot.

You know billions of people go into work every day to a job they hate so they can make money to survive and feed their families right? People have done this for centuries under far worse living conditions than modern man. The reason you continue to do a good job is to make sure you don't get fired.
I guess T levels at an all time low have made modern man a bitch.

But I had worked there my entire 20s. The company itself is great honestly. But you are working with people who all took jobs and then stayed forever because Costco is a good company. It breeds resentment. Even being a manager or supervisor is a joke, you're just a babysitter for lazy *******s who call out constantly.
If you have no education or real skills Costco is like a godsend. But if you have those things it's a nightmare.

Eliminate every possible expense you can.
The best way to do that is understand we are all brainwashed to be amazing consumers. Literally forget everything you know. Understand you do not know anything.
Remove all the noise and bs until it is just you and pure existence. Then you understand we don’t need any of these things, and people who have opinions about our counter culture life style are completely irrelevant.
We don’t have to achieve, we don’t have to build, we don’t have to make progress. All of those “values” are simply BS ideas to generate an extreme amount of wealth for other people. Those ideas do nothing for yourself.
If you can make a company a lot of money, they will share their scraps with you. But what you have to give up for those scraps is your existence. Not worth it.
But most people will not do this.

You swallow your pride and do your job properly until another opportunity is available. Don't inconvenience others just because you dislike your job.

The problem was the warehouse refused to recognize that pushing carts was not the same as working inside. I'm outside for 8 hours pushing carts that are massive and heavy. It's a workout, om top of 30k+ steps daily.
So Id have dumb bish female managers who would get mad if I sat down for a minute... I had a gm who told me I can't wear a hood on my head in the pouring rain because there's a no hoodie policy... Like yeah that policy is for people who work inside... You think I'm going to walk out in the rain with no hood for 8 hours? Wot?
Just people with absolutely no ****ing sense in charge.
I got written up once for sitting down on a day where it was over 100 degrees outside. The bottoms of my shoes melted that day. I got out of the write up because I went to the meat department and took a digital thermometer and walked around the lot showing the district manager the temperatures of the asphalt. 140 degrees on the parking lot floor. 125 degrees standing in between two metal cars.
The company itself is great. The people who run the warehouses are absolute morons.
I can literally list instances with retarded managers endlessly

Gamble all your money bro.
If you win then you're rich, if you lose well then you'll suddenly like your job a lot more.

This is how life works. Sorry to be the bearer of reality.
There arent a bunch of people out here happily going to work every day, every hates their jobs. Maybe a few nut jobs like it but thats about it.
