Here are mine:

1. Cryptozoology: This is like the informal study of strange and undiscovered creatures. Not just Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster, but there literally thousands of sightings of all sorts of weird and bizarre creatures in strange places. Dogmen, moth men, flying jellyfish, gnomes, toad men, goat men, little people....So many weird creatures.

2. Missing 411/ Bizarre disappearances. Strange disappearances in US forests and national parks where no normal explanation fits the facts i.e no animal attack, fall off cliff, suicide, person went off grid, lost in forest etc. Details of some cases are unimaginably creepy (person winds up some time later with no signs of decomposition and clothes folded neatly next to them).

3. Fantasy/sci fi worldbuilding. Basically, it's the art of creating a fictional world for a fantasy or science fiction story, or any story you want really. Involves researching cultures, weapons, cuisines, dress, economies, geologies, biomes, philosophies, religions, wars, cosmologies etc. A very fun past-time but the epitome of a rabbit hole.
