Why do Boomers have such fragile egos? RANT
And I mean actual Boomers, not gen X, not the silent generation either, and not what little is left of the great generation. Fukin boomers. They don't want to take any responsibility for the way the US is now, and try to take all the credit for achievements done by earlier generation. A boomer just told me its because we are tired of not getting credit for all this "the tech, internet, cell phones, bridges, planes, space flight, satellites, airports, subways, electrical grid" Literally none of which was invented by anyone from that generation. These old men must look back on their lives and see the only thing they accomplished was taking advantage of a system created by better men.

Are you a boomer?
Are you a boomer?

Also me complaining about an entire generation who hasn't done chit has nothing to do with Ego. I'm not sitting here asking why people don't show respect to millennials am I? I don't think you know what the word Ego means.

It's not a boomer thing, it's a Malthusian thing.
Limits to Growth, 1972. Their computer model predicted an economic boom from 1980-2000, a stagnating population and slowing economic growth in the early 21st century, an economic peak around 2020, a sharp and irreversible decline after that as natural resources became scarce, and a return to a pre-WW1 standard of living by 2100. That model didn't know chit about age or politics, it just understood resource supplies and consumption.
So far, we are tracking this model to within about 5% accuracy.

The fun part about this is that your kids and grandkids will say the same thing about you.
i said it about my ancestors too.
i said it about my ancestors too.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

The reason is because they aren't in control anymore, but in their own minds they still believe they are.
So instead of letting go and enjoying life, every day is a constant reminder of the fact that they slip further and further away from being in control.
