Would you allow yourself to be enslaved?

Imagine you’re just chilling in your village and you’re attacked by a rival group that proclaims that you’re their property now

Why not just go down fighting? You know your life isn’t going to be worth living from that point on….. and the fact that slaves had children blows my mind too. Why bring them into that world?


The will to live and go on in those conditions was crazy while today people will off themselves over a mean tweet or some BS

This is such a dumb question that only going to be met with a bunch of pipe dream kind of responses.

Yes everyone here is so alpha they will all die fighting


In reality no one knows how they'd react or what would really happen. You say you'd rather die fighting but when that moment comes I have a feeling most people would rather not die. Hence why so many just remained slaves instead of killing themselves or dying fighting.

It's easy to say but human history shows that in almost every society/culture, people have been terrified of death/torture and allowed themselves to be subjugated and enslaved because ultimately preservation of life remains the strongest force in our DNA.

Why wouldn't you wait for an opportunity to escape or take some of them out with you instead of just dying like a useless cuck?

I can't imagine why there weren't more runaway slaves. Look how all the mountain men lived off the land.

Tough life though. Maybe picking cotton and getting 3 squares a day was worth it. I know a lot of people go to prison on purpose even today.

this if there was an attack on the village and my family fled to the woods, I would rather be captured and enslaved and try to find a way back to them than to just die. It would give me the motivation to keep trying to survive If I knew there was a chance for them to be alive

People willingly volunteer to be claves even today. india has this.

They take out a loan and use their kids as slaves for collateral or themselves even.

I am a firm believer that some of the slaves that came here back in the day volunteered for it.

Think about it. You can stay and have to fight for every scrap of food while being eaten by crocodiles and lions and stuff all the time or go to mississippi, get your own shack, a wife, medical, food and all. No dangerous animals or fighting for scraps of food. In trade you do some farm work.

Hell, offer that today and people would be lining up for it.
