My friend of 6 years lost his father at 28 years old and has gone no contact
I've lost multiple friends to suicide both in the military and out of it and I can't mentally handle losing any more.
- I've texted him daily for 6 years and get daily responses back but I haven't heard from him in a month. 10 days ago I told him if you don't text me back I'm calling the police to do a suicide check on you.
- He texts back and just says he's sad.
- He's self-isolating for sure and can't break out of it. He's normally a highly ambitious entrepreneur type so this is super strange.
- His dad left the family a massive amount of medical debt no life insurance plan and over 10 million in real estate projects that needed heavy investments and they all needed to be sold so they could break even so it's another headache too.
Should I just be patient and let him grieve or call him every 4-7 days or so?

Give him space. It's ok to grieve.

Let him know that you will give him space but if for any reason he wants to talk or reach out about anything to not hesitate and that you will be there. And don’t push open it, it’s all up to him / his feelings

Actual men don't want to talk about what they're feeling.

Yeah bro I know you mean well but people handle things differently. Give him your condolences, let him know you are there if you need him, and then to reach out to you when he is ready.
That’s it.
That’s it.
