Meetings are part of brainwashing people in corporate culture.

Boomers are the worst for this. Literally some boomer called a meeting to discuss an up coming meeting a couple weeks ago. After the actual meeting, they called another meeting to discuss how we thought the meeting went. Basically 2 hours of my life to discuss another hour meeting. Completely a waste of time.

Because instead of developing strong governmental social safety nets in the early/mid 20th century, (like many other nations did) our country instead made a pact with big business to let them run the show, as long as they looked out for the plebs .

Now, big business/corporate America has hardly looked out for the plebs, infact, its been much the opposite. However, over the generations, they have created a plethora of bullchit jobs.

human resources, admin workers galore, analysts, marketing , blah blah blah. I'd say 70% of white collar work is pure bullchit fluff simply meant to give the plebs a paycheck. But only enough of a paycheck to make ends meet and consooommaxx. certainly not enough of a paycheck to get ahead in any meaningful way or be comfortable enough to question the status quo (at least not for 80% of the plebs in these roles).

so how do you fill these bullchit white collar jobs timesheets? meetings. tons of meetings with tons of paper pushing in between.

I'd say for pretty much all of these jobs, they could be completed in ~25 hours of weekly working time MAX, probably less. We could instantly institute a 6 hour, 4 day work week with no loss to productivity (lets say Mon to Fri, 9 AM to 3PM). but its also about mogging and control. They want you here 9-5 , tired and disheveled from pointless meetings so you have no other energy or aspirations other than to consooom and rot.

all smoke and mirrors.

now get back in your cube.

EDIT: what interests / worries me. is TPTB have starved and stagnated wages so much, that plebs are hard-pressed to consooom, unless they creditmaxxx. now this is already happening, but it cant go on forever, right? Once the credit is maxed, and the pleb is still making peanuts, how will they still consooom? our society is built on consooooming. the elite can't increase their balance-sheets forever without our consumption. so either some sort of UBI (with strings attached of course) will have to be implemented to aid consooooming, or wages will have to rise. the candle is burning fast at both ends.
Reps to all BJJ/grappling/MMA bros.
