What's the best search engine now?

Tired of using google search. Used to show exactly what I asked for, and now I have to sift through sponsored content, quora results that are nothing like what I asked, and several pages even if I typed something super specific in.

What do you guys recommend?

I just use Google normally, but if I'm searching about a highly propagandized topic or want to find a funny but extremely non-PC meme, I try DuckDuckGo since Google lies and hides info.

Exactly this. Google is compromised politically - so is duckduckgo, but to a much lesser extent.

I tried duckduckgo and brave search and my experience with google is still better.

For chit like torrents and maybe other "controversial" stuff yandex is actually the GOAT.

I used their browser but can't handle the search. Like if I search best restaurants near me, it will be pulling up an applebees like 20 miles away. Where as Google will show me the local 4.8 rated spot a mile away. Still hate Google though, just have never really been able to find wtf I was looking for with DDG.

I've used Bing and Google the most. Yandex and Duckduckgo next. Mojeek and Brave a little.

I continue to use Bing as my main browser. I'm being tracked but if I log in, I get Bing rewards. It's not a ton but adds up over time. I bought the complete set of movies for the hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter with Bing rewards.

Search engines commonly use results from other search engines in their own results so there is a lot of overlap between them. I thought Yandex, Duckduckgo, and Brave were fine but I mostly stay with Bing for the rewards. I do jump around quite a bit and if I can't find what I'm looking for with one I try another pretty quick. Agree with Barteh above that Yandex is probably the best for controversial stuff.

Mojeek actually gave the most distinct results from the others, but I didn't have great luck getting relevant returns.

Google for normal stuff like finding restaurants and chit. Brave for controversial stuff.

Bing is good for a worthy Google alternative. A lot of other search engines like DuckDuckGo use Bing for their results. (I also get those Bing rewards like FarmersSon does.)

Yandex for less censorship. Brave is okay but Bing gives better results.
