It's always a good idea to send your boss some sort of email during the later part of your Friday. it shows them that you are still working when a lot of people are slacking.

I always make sure to send some sort contract approval to my boss on the latter part of my Friday afternoon.

Most people are average or worse. Just being slightly above average, even being perceived as above average is always a good thing.

My buddy works from home and he bought one of those mice that constantly moves when plugged in, so it looks like he's always "on".
