Anyone do significant maintenance periods inbetween cuts?

apparently if you're a fat phuck it may be optimal to cut 10% and maintain at maintenance for for the same amount of period before cutting again. Rinse repeat to avoid the absolute bat chit insane binging and regaining all the weight

has anyone tried this technique and how'd it workout maintaining long term

I agree that it's a good way to do it. If you just diet down like 20-30% of your weight in like a 6 month period there's a good chance you'll bounce back and gain a lot of it back

Maintenance periods are good to kind of cement your gains (or losses I suppose), lower your set point and take a mental break from dieting

If you have a lot to lose it's prob good to take cut breaks. Once you get to where you want to be maintenance mode is pretty much for life. You can't let up unless you stop caring about your weight.
