Refs carried KC last year in the playoffs and that was before the nonsense with Swift. NFL wants Mahomes to get close enough to Brady's accomplishments so they can milk that for the next decade.

They know the product kind of sucks now since most of the top QBs like Lamar, Hurts, and Allen are frauds so they need some reason to keep people interested other than gambling.
