I've concluded: Counter Strike is the best multiplayer game ever made.

CSGO / CSGO2 specifically.

and DUST 2 is the best multiplayer map ever made.

after 15 years, I still love playing that map...nothing has that replay value. There are so many moments in this game that you cant get anywhere else.

and this is coming from someone who played HALO 2 & 3 in the glory days, COD4, MW2......Counter Strike reigns supreme.

Lmfao Valve has it in a literally unplayable state. You can’t play for more than 20 minutes without being in a lobby with blatant cheaters.

Fk CS.

No ones anti cheat is on Riot’s level.

It's a great game, but I'm waiting for them to add back all the missing content in CS2. It's very barebones at the moment.

Sadly, this.

Tried coming back for CS2 and almost every match either had someone that was clearly walling with some just saying fk it and going full blatant with aimhacks too.

More of a PC problem than just CS but Valve makes so much money they really should be able to do something about it.

Seems the only genre that's cheater free these days is fighting games.

I havent come across one cheater on AUS servers.

Theycoulddo something about it but they won’t.
Riot’s anti cheat is pretty invasive…but that’s why it’s literally aaalmost 100% impossible to cheat in their games. I’ll take it to play a shooter that when someone is destroying me, at least I know it’s because they’re just better and not cheating like in CS.

I’ve been playing Valorant since launch. I have literally seen MAYBE 2-3 cheaters in the years I’ve been playing. And on at least one occasion I remember reporting them and an hour or so later a message from Riot popped up saying he was in fact cheating and was perma banned.

It's a good game but i don't think it was the best or even better than the other tactical shooters of that time period. I think Rainbow Six 3 and OG Ghost Recon were the best.

Halo 2 is my pick. I have yet to see another FPS game revolutionize multiplayer like that did. The ranking system and everything was extraordinary until the cheaters ruined it.

Aiming in Go/CS2 fuking sucks. Getting kills was way easier in 1.6 and source.

I might have played CS when it first came out but I don't remember. When I was a kid BF1942 was my favorite game that I would play for hours on end, then after that it was America's Army.

Not gonna lie Beta 5.2 was my favourite version. With every update Valve slowed down the game to create a more realistic tactical shooter, but back in the 5.2 days it kinda had a nice Quakey feel to it.
