it depends what your expectations are
when you are a child the friendship is mostly based on feels. and takes less effort to maintain. you meet just to have fun around a common hobby
if you keep those friends growing up and both make the effort. the bond stays strong.
but trying to make friends as an adult from scratch. yeah.. it's much more difficult later in life for a number of reasons
