I remember getting way into politics back in 2007ish, to the point that I actually caucused, and got signs for Ron Paul. The deep state railroaded him, and MSM used propaganda tactics to hide him from any coverage. It was disgusting. Its when I woke up and learned there was a deep state and that theMSM = THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE.

Great points. Also, was Gary Johnson an independent or Libertarian? He had some good points too, and quickly got shut down by the MSM, and they even stopped him from participating in debates if I remember correctly.

The problem with the Libertarian Party is that it’s full of highly intelligent social outcasts with zero real world experience. I used to consider myself a libertarian -- I don't place myself in that box anymore (although I would describe many of my views as libertarian in nature), because I came to realize how fundamentally flawed the ideology is. Many proponents of libertarianism like to argue for their views by framing the argument as a collectivism vs. individualism paradigm. Ayn Rand spent many thousands of pages of her dense, boring-ass books rambling on and on about this.

Rather than constraining ourselves within that paradigm which has been defined and described ad nauseum by the ideology's largely j*wish proponents, let's look at from a different angle -- it's fundamentally a humanist, utopian ideology, much like another ideology (can you guess what it is ??) also defined and described ad nauseum by, surprise surprise, another set of largely j*wish proponents. In order to build a society on a libertarian foundation, where anything goes so long as it doesn't harm someone else in some way, people must be fundamentally good and individuals must be committed to the non-aggression principle. Once I got a bit older and more experienced, and saw firsthand the evil that exists in the world, I realized that people are fundamentally bad, and every human, you, me, even your 90 year old grandmother, has a propensity to lie, cheat, steal, murder, etc. -- some are just better at exercising restraint than others. Society cannot function without clear lines of hierarchy and authority, and there need to be clear moral boundaries on what is acceptable conduct, beyond "just don't harsh my mellow bro".

I was obsessed with RP, and seeing them shadow-ban him on MSM was just blatant AF....

RP was the most normal, yet infallible presidential candidate since I've been alive. He was polling in first place, yet MSM basically greyed him out in the results. It was mind blowing to see.

No one is foolish enough to broadly advertise their pro open borders stance, they use subtle language like "legal immigration", when in reality, they'll lax the immigration laws so much that essentially it's NOT illegal to just walk across the border without any checks.

Does this sound familiar? It should. It's the same play the Democrats run. The Democrats say they are against illegal migration and support "legal immigration"... but they lax the immigration laws so anyone can cross the border at any time.

Here's another example: Democrats will brag about how the number of drug offenses have decreased under their watch, but that's only because they decriminalized drug use.

The Bible/catholicism describe it all very well. Human nature is too easily tempted into sin and evil, but with strong character and societal rules to help guide people even more, we can work towards being good. Hope for the best in people, but expect the worst.

They didn’t used to be. When Ron Paul was running, libertarians were anti-illegal immigration. Not necessarily for the border wall, but they supported deporting illegals and restricting immigration from high risk countries, as did Dr. Paul.

Sometime after Trump got elected, libertarians took a hard left turn. There was a lunatic SJW woman named Jo Jorgensen who ran the party for a few years and she was for total open borders. She was so incompetent they forced her out of the spotlight, but what you see in that platform reflects changes she imposed on the party. It’s pathetic.
