Do y'all use root login or just sudo?

Assuming you’re using Linux for professional use, why would you ever log in as root (unless need local access)? Bad security practice.

But also, assuming we’re talking strictly server usage, no need to ever log in. Use automation and make your infra immutable.

I login via root. i tell all of my clients to never do that and only sudo. then i go login as root again.

“kill -9” as soon as something isn’t working right crew

“rm -rf” any directories in an error message without thinking about it crew
