OP sounds like he never participated in team sports because he’s not athletic, or social enough.

It’s always the weirdos who admonish all of sports. I am anti crowd, so any large sporting event is a no go, but I can enjoy big games from my home.

for most of us sports competition is the gateway to learning how to compete, master a skill and achieve mastery over our physical capabilities. Along with it comes learning how to work as a team, trust, comradery. Also learning how to be coached, take criticism, learn from mistakes and overcome adversity. All of this translates to life outside of sports. Sports is the only true reality TV series that is not scripted.

However i pity those who make a specific sports team their life. Loyalty to a corporation is silly. When my favorite teams lose and people like to rub it in my face i laugh. My life is zero percent changed based on their wins and loses.

OP isn't totally wrong. Especially in the last 10 years. It's not just the race of the players, it's how much they now sexualize the guys for TV.
