One sign you’ve played too many video games: dreams

I’ve had a rough last few weeks, and the one thing that oddly gets my mind off of it is playing Resident Evil 4 remake. Gruesome game, I’m thinking of changing it up. My dreams are filled with stabbing people in the neck, shooting off their limbs, and chainsaws. Might need a different game or activity (I’m already lifting). Ded srs, it’s disturbing af. Hours of violence every night in my head.

Any gamer or other general recommendations?

When call of duty ghosts came out on ps4. I no lifed search and destroy for the first 2 weeks of the game, and was number 1 in the world on the leaderboards the entire time. When I went to bed I'd literally still be in the game. lol fkn sucked. Quit gaming pretty much for good after that.

I don’t think so. I had dreams of being in mario land back when mario 64 came out. Though I was also actively playing goldeneye.

I haven’t touched that game just because of how intensely into it other people I knew were.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend it. Call of duty sucks these days.

I plan on getting into gaming again someday when something catches my eye, but I'm done with competitive multiplayer, that's for young people with nothing else to do. lol I'm too competitive and will end up getting addicted to compete.

I'll definitely play GTA5 when it comes out though.

Try Doom Eternal. One of the better shooters I've played in years - adrenaline pumping, etc.

Nothing wrong with violent, lucid dreams. Folks give far too much importance to the content of dreams - just be happy you dream, srs. Even better if they're lucid.

I’ll give it a look. I’ve seriously been trying to get into FF7 remake, but is so full of content that I stop an hour in, because I don’t have the other 12 hours needed to explore a town. The original was a time sink, and I’m sure the remake(s) are worse. Just can’t afford that kind of time now.

I've had a lot of world of warcraft dreams and some counterstrike dreams. If you think about it, prior to the era of computers, no one ever dreamed like this. Its like as the internet came about, so did the advancement and evolution of dreams as a whole on the earth. We dream about crazy stuff compared to ancestors. So dreams evolved as humans progressed in society and civilization.
You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.

Everytime I play GTA and I see someone loading their trunk up with groceries or stuff, I do get the urge, or to run drivers off the road.

Had the exact same thoughts after playing GTA literally seeing anyone by crosswalk and had thoughts of running them over for no reason. Had to stop playing after that

Or just get the urge to pull someone out of the car that won't go quick enough at a green light.
I'd get such road rage after playing that game, wife would always say, this isn't GTA, can you please calm down.
