Quit. Phuck it. Don’t waste your life away somewhere that makes you miserable especially if you have a savings to fall back on. Take it from me.

beat me to it. The current job market is rough out there. Eventually you're going to run low on savings and when you do, it will take (at a minimum) 6 months to get a new job.

If you quit today, I'd start applying NOW for a job you hope to land by late summer.

To put things in perspective, I'm receiving preliminary interview offers and rejections from jobs I applied to back in November last year.

OR, you can just stay at your current job, and use the time while on the clock to apply to new jobs. Your urge to quit is just you being tired of that particular job.

Yeah just quit. If you're confident you can get on just fine in the meantime then don't throw any more days away for them

And also a few other things to think about.

-Savings goes quick when you've got no money coming in. I don't care how much you have...unless you're in your 50's/60's you don't want to be draining savings just because you don't want to work your current job anymore.
-You'll have to explain a gap in your employment to your next potential employer and "I quit b/c I was tire of their chit" doesn't sound good. You can try to spin it, but recruiters/HR isnt dumb.
-Job market isn't great right now....especially if you want to make a lateral salary move or even better, make more.
-It's easier to find a job when you already have one than the opposite. You can even play it cool and tell the future employer that you're relatively happy where you are you're just exploring to see what's out there....makes you not look desperate and have a little more negotiating room if they want you.

Just know that you're done mentally, do the bare minimum to get by...worst case they put you on a performance plan and you've got a little time/income still. Start looking/applying/networking now (if you havent already) and find something else before you jump ship. Also, don't just jump to some other job just to get out of this one.....3 months later you'll realize you're right back where you were.

I've been there before man. You can make a change for the better.

Become a handy man doing simple stuff

I worked one hour today and made $300 then went home and ate chicken fingers.

That's what I was thinking. Interested in hotshot work but I'd need a bigger truck for that. Only have a 1/2 ton right now

I did this for a number of years. Quit my job and just goofed around for 6 months or so. Went back to work and built up the nest egg and repeated.

Its way better than working endlessly as you know there is always an end to look forward to.

Evaluate your position thoroughly before pressing ahead. Of course, the Lord's will is over everything and everyone and you might very well find a better place, but the current numbers and figures speak volumes about had bad the employment world is.

I quit my last job and had a disgusting amount of savings secured, very well connected (as in I know governors and embaseddors) and it took three months to land my next role.

So think carefully.
