Anyone been to Istanbul??

I'm considering visiting Istanbul next month. Anyone on the misc been before?

When i visit a city, i usually like to stay close to the nightlife, central so that i can do touristy stuff during the day, and party at night. Anyone know the best parts to stay?

late 80's and early to mid-90's. Many times. Great people, Bazaar, food - all good. If you are good, you will be making friends just walking streets.

Respect, eye contact, don't behave like you own the place. Learn to negotiate, its the culture, price on anything is only a suggestion, an invitation to a small talk.

I did this past summer. Was a fun time. Recommend getting on a ferry on the Bosphorus for a show/food/drinks.

Forget where we stayed exactly. But it was like a 20 minute walk to the ferry’s. But were like a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque.

I was only there for 2 days before going to Cappadocia though. So didn’t get to do as much as I’d have liked. Just saw a few tourist things, like the Bazaars, the mosques, the ferry. Some good food.

the rule is simple - any price divide by 3 and go from there. If you buy more than one piece from same store (it is worth doing so) - negotiate each piece separately, and then again, negotiate the tally. Then take a break and drink chai with store owner, and do another round of back and forth.

"hot", "skinny" and "British" cannot reside in same sentence

Lmao. But really, I did see one of the top 5 prettiest girls I’ve ever seen while I was on the Paris metro last year. Young skinny blonde British girl super ethereal looking and spoke in the cutest way. Strong 10/10 even with a flat chest. She was with her 6.5/10 British female friend. I was staring at her for 15 minutes straight.
