netflix did the same with the witcher, the writers didn't even like the books and were all brought in by the show runner, who was annoyed about how passionate Henry was about it (she herself proudly says that). With all the books in the world imagine how hard it is to have one universally respected, yet some little upstart straight out of college thinks they can improve it. Would almost 'mire their self confidence if it wasn't so deeply deluded.

Abomination of a show. I read a few of the books like 15-20 years ago and they're so good with great source material, and this show is the best we get after all these years? I wish some billionaire halo fan would fund a proper show and recruit top directors/writers.
