Well think a couple steps ahead. Going more multiplat will probably mean their next console sells even worse than series x/s. So I’m not convinced investing in their next console is a good idea long term

Yup all they do is push doom and gloom when it comes to Xbox, Sony can start doing the same thing and they will suddenly become eerily silent and have nothing to say on the subject anymore. When the actual news comes out and it's nowhere near the disaster they wanted it to be they are nowhere to be found or just make some stupid joke.

I just find it amazing how anyone is still a part of that scene, it's why gaming social media has become so intolerable and awful. Sonycels dominate the whole forum warrior/influencer scene and basically got all the influence on gaming sites as well. It's led to everything becoming such highly biased clickbait, any audience they got is simply being trolled by these losers.

This guy along with Microsoft basically just destroyed the collective video games forum/influencer/journalism scene. They just look like the utter fanboy clowns that they are now a days. After the way they acted over this whole situation, you would have to be a complete fool to still take them seriously. It couldn't be more obvious how Sony fanboys have been controlling the narrative, pushing what they wanted to be pushed. In the end they turned out to be totally wrong and completely out of touch of course. So much for the value of all these so called insiders lol.

Guys like Doc Dark don't get enough respect, the rare instances of people with some actual integrity in the gaming scene who actually give a chit about what is really happening.

But unless they can get GamePass on PlayStation and Nintendo I don't see them exiting the console business anytime soon. I mean companies make dumb decisions so you never know, but that just doesn't make sense.

It's irl too most gamers just don't like Xbox anymore for some reason. We both know it's a hivemind, but why? Halo, Forza and Gamepass are the best values in gaming right now.

If you want to know what the average NPC gamers are like just go to the generalized gaming sub on Reddit. The whole "gamer" scene is just really cringe these days, the result of a passionate nerd scene that got hijacked by big corporate/political interests and total fanboys. Yeah fanboys were always a part of it, but there was a lot more exchange of dialogue in the past. Now a days it's just whatever the popular/dominant group happens to be trying to stifle/eliminate any contrary views. Total hype, fanboyism, and sensationalism dominate the conversations.

Yeah i've seen it and talked to gamers irl they are super nerds now man. There's only like 3 types of games that get popular now. I don't hear a peep about anything else really.

If you mention other types of games like we like too they get upset or condescending. Happened to me when i tried to trade in Witcher 3.

I feel like the super-nerds were always like that, they're the kind of gamers I generally always tried to avoid. They're always gravitating towards whatever the current popular thing happened to be among the big online social circles. It's just that you will now find far more average people being a part of that, back in the day it was always just different types of more obvious nerds deep in the gamer scene.

Like most popular scenes you just gotta focus on your niche. As someone who is into driving games and racing sims I am well aware of how that's it's own subculture with passionate fans. Sure, on the big generalized gaming section on Reddit you would be hard pressed to find anyone giving a chit about those games, but go somewhere focused on them and you will meet all sorts of people who are passionate for the same thing. Sorta like how if you're into metal you would want to avoid all the big popular music spots and focus on the communities full of metalheads. The popular masses scene would be full of people like Taylor Swift and their fanbase.

It seems really odd and kind of dumb to leave all of that bad air out there to breathe, then come out with a vague22 minutelong podcast with canned questions just to basically say that Microsoft currently has no plans to sacrifice Xbox to a volcano.

At least get Phil Spencer on Joe Rogan for glaze-off and Joe can ask Phil if he's ever done DMT while playing Kinect Sports to travel into Banjo-Kazooie's backpack with the Master Chief to save Princess Peach if all they have to say is four games going multiplatform.
Those sound like the most logical picks, although it would be an absolute riot if one was Redfall for some asinine reason.

They should be talking about a Gears of War trilogy remaster at the very least, not have ongoing talk about how there are considerations to make Gears of War multiplatform because they're in such dire straits. They're not going out of their way to stomp out any of these "rumors," either, which really fits in with Xbox's historic ability to torpëdo their messaging since the Xbone.

But because they decided to make it into a podcast, they practically validated all of the fearmongering because every other remotely sane company PR would immediately blow off rumors instead of sitting on their thumbs awkwardly in the corner trying not to make eye contact.
