2006 - 2013: PS3 & PC(PC til 2011)

I had Atari but don’t remember much wasn’t that into it but NES I remember playing punch out, tmnt, ninja gaiden, smb, dick hunt while spinning Ozzy osbourne records and passing around a beer or a Marlboro were damn good times not a care in the world lol.

My god winter must truly be cold for those with no warm memories .

yeah I only posted my timeline of active consoles

in my 20s I got everything I didn't get to fully experience as a kid lol (a NES, Master System, Mega Drive and Dreamcast)

out of all these I'd say only the DC is really worth picking up today

there are "videoboxes" (check out Beharbros) out there to hook them up to modern TV's and it's still amazing

There are CRT tvs out there too that single-handedly beats video boxes

I don't agree with that, I hassled with my old CRT's for quite some time but finally got rid of them

for the 8/16 bit era consoles HD TV's are fine and I even prefer my RGB modded N64 on my HD TV over a CRT

only downside is I can't play duckhunt anymore lol

it's like the vinyl hype, I just don't get it

Well as far as vinyl let me tell you something mean gene, the hype is real.

I still listen to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, Pink Floyd on vinyl . Sounds like it was meant to but I do enjoy and listen mostly to remastered studio versions of songs these days. Live albums are my bread and butter tho… Iron Maiden, slayer, tool , Ozzy all live used to pump me up so hard . Makes me want to punch myself in the forehead until it bleeds.

what I meant was the hassle is not worth it

TV weighing a ton taking up a lot of space and it's only purpose is to play retrogames because it "feels" better

fuk that, convenience > nostalgia AND I genuinly like the clinic picture especially for 8/16 bit (cum at me)

same with vinyl, if you still have it lying around from the olden days and it works that's that, but going out in 2024 and buying vinyl and a record player... lmfao

the juice is not worth the squeeze or how do you say it
