Data says women are indeed dogmaxxing (article)
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/ar...ng-out/677451/
The article goes into how Americans are spending less and less time with each, citing as reasons increased phone use, economic pressures, and decreased social infrastructure (see Bowling Alone).
Mostly the same old depressing stuff, but I thought the bit below was interesting. Americans and their relationships to pets do kinda weird me out (looking at you dog moms).
"In 2003, the typical female pet owner spent much more time socializing with humans than playing with her cat or dog. By 2022, this flipped, and the average woman with a pet now spends more time โactively engagedโ with her pet than she spends hanging out face-to-face with fellow humans on any given day."

pandemic showed a lot of people they can in fact survive without human contact for great lengths of time.
no surprise people realized humans suck to be around in large groups.
i used to go out and surround myself by fuktards regularly just to be out and socializing before covid.
during covid i realized just spending time with the handful of people i actually liked here and there was an improvement in my quality of life.
but these dog chicks need to get knocked up.
they are mental.

I also suspect social media played a huge role, it replaced the desire/need for face to face interactions. Unless the article is including online interactions.
