Classic Battlefront 1 & 2 coming to PS5, Xbox and Switch - 64 multiplayer

--------

Also PS4, Xbox one and PC so very likely crossgen

Absolute GOATS...I played the chit out of these 2 games back in the day

64 player multiplayer on those maps is going to be awesome. Literally every map is perfection.

That bro is right....retro is the future lol

New Star Wars games are such chit they are finally going back to the old Star Wars games before everything went to chit. These two are still among my all time favorites.

Old games had way more heart and soul in them. Even if you put aside all the overwrought stories like Last of Us or the Maoist mafia firms that strong-arm development like Sweet Baby, old games were justfunner.

Most recent games feel like they were passionless projects; like you can sense while playing modern games that the vibe for those at work making them was so corporate, stilted, and sanitized. Something about games from SNES through PS3 eras were just better all around, you just envision the people making the games were having a blast and trying out cool stuff.

Many modern games try to be too much like a movie. Kojima wanted to be a film director originally.

Also games back then had no political agenda and Chads and Staceys weren't shoehorning themselves into the space like they do now.

Idk maybe in the only one here but I loved battlefront 1 when they made the newer ones. Didn't play 2. But the first was fun as hell and ran beautifully in typical battlefield fashion. Heroes vs villains was a blast

Obviously the old ones are goat, I don't usually do nostalgia gaming but I might for this
