Why is it morally wrong to eat animals, but not plants

It makes zero sense. Life is life, and as long as it is already dead, what is the big deal? Also, why is it ok to eat spinach and apples, but not cows? Pigs and cows are smarter than broccoli. It makes no sense man. We should all be starved to death or eat everything, basically. At least then, the principle would make sense.

sea birds swallow fish live and whole
wolves tear the ass out of a deer till it is too weak to stand and then when its to weak to stand or get up just start eating form the back end. Alive or not


Humans know animals feel pain, and so try to kill painlessly and humanely.
