Yes and no.

Yes if you're working class.

No if you're a wall street investor.

i remember not long ago when lind would cry that the stock market doesn't matter because it only benefits the rich...now it's the marker of a strong economy.

Here's the thing....

The government is stuck in a pickle right now. They can't really lower interest rates, because it will cause inflation to increase. However, poor people are being eaten alive by inflation.

I am a wealthy person who works in real estate. So my employment is absolutely fuked right now. However, my family investments are doing fuking awesome right now and we have bumped rents like 40% over the last few years while costs stayed pretty much the same.

The government is choosing to inflate their way out of this situation and not really lower interest rates much. So the wealthy will continue getting richer and poor people will eventually be eating Ramen Noodles and Mac and Cheese with 500 credit scores.

If they stay on the current path, the economy will finally catch up to Real Estate prices in another 3-4 years, which is absolutely fuked. They need to have a legit recession.

Probably 2025 after the election will be the reckoning. Even if Trump wins, they have to cut government spending and let things go to chit for a little while.

The people who say its in great shape are 100% rich people.

The rest of us are struggling.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

The job market is pretty weak right now. They would need 2009 level layoffs to even help a little bit.

Yeah, and there are some accounting requirements for large companies coming up during the next 6 months that will cause a lot more layoffs. So things are going to get pretty dicey before the end of 2024.

I don't understand how it's functioning when inflation is super high, jobs are 100x harder to keep/get and when like half the country doesn't even work anymore and are out buying and traveling every day. Did everyone win the lottery?

I was out today at 4pm and there must have been 100 people at the gym and every other place. Traffic jams all over. Makes no sense.

It's because there are literaly no other reasonable investments accessible to most people. Real Estate is fuked. Businesses are kinda fuked, and not worth starting right now.

So people are chasing money by putting everything into stocks. Spoiler: This isn't going to end well. However, I have clients who have made millions from NVDA and others during the last 6 months, and I fully intend to help them put this money into Real Estate.

yes, there's mass layoffs every single day. They're keeping it under wraps because if they said we are in recession Biden would get blown the fk out.
