Monin' Off....
Well....that map makes me a true outlier skewing the demographics a bit.
I didn't take the matrimonial plunge until I was 43 but we lived together for about 6 years.
That's how long it took me to find a feminine, non-combative traditional woman who's happy to stay in her biological lane.
A woman I would gladly give my life to protect and defend.
Now, we're both retired and we're doing great.
Back to it.

Numbers look kinda high for the South. These country girls start young.
I wonder if the numbers factored in first vs. second marriage.

Modern generations are getting more cautious and pulling away from commitments. Information sharing has grown so much in the last three decades, more young adults are getting influenced by others outside of their immediate families, including digesting various doctrines and lifestyle views that likely go against what their parents would've intended, particularly young adults that had a traditional nuclear family growing up.
I wonder if this trend continues, the government might change how taxes work, so that those who file married-jointly with dependents get even more incentives. That is, if the government has a vested interest in fighting against declining birth rates and increased costs of childcare.
