I still see them from time to time, under rocks and logs, but lots of insects simply aren't as common anymore:
ladybugs
preying mantis
butterflies....especiallybutterflies (monarch/swallowtail)
or hell, just go on a road trip in the summer. My parents car use to be covered with bugs. We'd have to stop at a gas station and wash the windshield there were so many...not to much anymore.
