The 80s were as equally degenerate

SRS

Did people forget trannie-looking hair metal bands? Or movies like Perfect where you can literally see Travolta's dingus wiggling around while checking out Jamie Lee Curtis's cameltoe?
Dudes wearing maekup. Walking around half-naked outside etc.

I get that the 2020s are retarded but sexual innuedo and ph3ggetery was absurd in the 80's

Were gay Sentate staffers filming themselves having gay sex inside the Senate conference rooms and posting it to the internet?

I think social media made it easier to be aware of degen culture, back in 80s you'd have to search a lot before you encountered a degenerate

Difference is, these trannies below used mens bathrooms, took makeup off after performance and only used women's bathrooms to clap a womans cheeks and do lines off their tits. If that's a an 80's version of a trannie than i was a complete pg4ggot for wanting to be one back then.

You have a good point.
Divorce rates thru the roof, feminism, suicide rates all went thru the roof around 1980’s & have been high since.

1960’s & before were the years were women had 3 kids each, homosexuality was illegal, Nobody got divorced etc etc

Think suicide rate in 1980 was similar to today but 3 times higher than 1950’s

Some metal hair bands, wore makeup, doesn't mean that men were wearing it left and right.

Are you forgetting about the wealth and consumerism of the 80s? Think of movies like Wall Street and American Psycho.

In 1990 the foot clan started recruiting distraught teens and turned them on to lives of crime and drugs. I feel like that was the beginning of todays degeneracy.

OP is correct.

in the U.S.A

The 60's set up the 70's for greatness.
The 70's was the GOAT golden age, nothing else in the history of humankind comes close
The 80's saw the rise of phsyco/sociopathic & narcistic behavior. This was the age of the "boomer"

If the 80's hadn't been the 80's we'd all still be wearing theigh high khaki shorts, tanktops, and the mustache would be more common than the dollar bill. People would prefer the "lived in" vibe of cars and houses over the "modern minimalist" look. Big fuzzy chairs, disco balls, and ladies in multicolor jackets with redicuously interesting hairstyles. We'd be caring just as much about each other as ourselves.

The 80's were worse than the 20-teens (2010-2020) becouse it barely took the whole 10 years for the 80's to royally fuark up the 70's vibe.
The 90's was a special kind of angry where the 70's-cells and the 80's-cells clashed. Which led to a very unique decade which is currently at peak popularity

Did they, or were they productive for a short time because of it, before burning out & dying young, ending up homeless etc? Also it was the main thing for gays-helped reduce their immune system.

There isn't enough time in the day for me to sit here and write it up in-depth to its deserving.

Lets just put it this way, nearly all the free-thinking creativity, dance clubs, party vibes..

All that chit as we know it in 2024 is still residual of the 70's after all these years. The 70's were both exciting and curious times. The best golden age of all time

i can totally understand the band thing cause loads of that stuff wasn't done before (peter frampton effects etc)

also the lack of tech probably helped the youth out much more

The whole of society didn't embrace degeneracy. Moral grandstanding isn't even a thing anymore, it's all race and gender based now. People aren't shamed for being degenerate or criminal, they're shamed for being part of the "oppressor class."

Everything is multitudes more retarded now than it was then, mostly because the internet and social media facilitate the quicker spread of retardation.

I can still remember the first time I saw the twisted Sister video, We're not going to take it, and wondering what the hell was that.

I grew up in the 80s, and I suppose there were some similarities then to what we see today, but overall from what I remember it was a different time.

If anything the 70s might have been more similar to what is seen today.

Also keep in mind, people in the 80s that were 40s-50s+ came up in the 30s, 40s and 50s. this would've naturally added a lot of balance.

I think he is talking about the real world equivalent of those movies. Guys like Madoff they were running their ponzi scheme in the 1980s and went unchecked for a few decades until everyone tried to withdraw in the 2008/2009 crash
