probably 40.

but honestly if there is a social occasion to justify going to a bar/club/festival then who is anyone to tell you not to go?

BRB its my boyos 40th birthday and he wants to go Vegas..ofc I will be there and on the club dancefloor.
BRB its my boyos bachelor party at 35 and he wants go Ibiza..ofc I will go and enjoy myself at the festivals

but I would probably struggle to find justification to continue doing those things after 40.
I appreciate well thought out subtle trolling.

Yes but you missed the best years of it bud, as much as it pains me to say it.

As soon as i hit age 20 i knew it was my time to go out. So i went out to dance clubs every single night they were open and had a rad time.

Unfortunately my first music fest wasn't till last year - and i lucked out. This particular fest was probobly the best one i'll ever go to.

The more expensive the festival GA, the older the crowd. But going young and spry in the 20's would pretty much guarantee an all you can fuark buffet.

WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID

The music fest prime era is changing/ending due to becoming a major focus of crime rings/cartels. These aren't joe and bobs shenanigans from the nearby trailer park either, these are full on violence, organized/career criminals. Which is why i'm holding off this year tbh

It's not so much about age, it's about vibe. I'm 38 and would feel totally comfortable at any music festival nowadays without even a second thought. However, if I had gray hair or looked my age and was low energy, that feeling might be different.

The only time I sometimes feel out of place at music festivals is when the crowd is just too degen. It was kinda this way in San Francisco for Outside Lands.

Just go to acts that play at the casinos. Those shows are perfect for the balding 50 year old affliction wearing crew.

You are never too old

Most people live the most NPC boring lives and think they need to "settle down" or "be boring" once they hit a certain age

As long as you have your chit together (money, health, relationships etc.) who cares what you do

life is all about balance, as long as everything else is in check, party away

Its more dependent on your health

If you partake, as you get older your recovery won't be as ez as it was in the young 20s, and raving through the night to the morning gets harder as no sleep fuks you harder

But if u eat healthy, lift, cardio etc you shouldn't have a problem

never to old to go out and have fun

as you age though, you may personally no longer have fun, so i guess whatever age that is.

Clubs are a different story, if you are good looking they will always be a good time. If you are uggo it doesnt matter what your age is, you'll be ignored/viewed as a creep

I lost most interest in live music shows by age 25. Saw tons of them in my late teens to early 20's. Now I have zero interest unless it can be a day drive type trip for a band I really like a lot, and even then I'm like "I've seen this chit before, do I really care to drop a few hundred bucks and at least a day's worth of time on this?"

clubs in California are pretty dead, EDM scene is BOOMING though

people here think the nightlife sucks, it's because they're going to bars/club and not raves/festivals

Everyone's welcome to these things, it's just if you're old ugly and creepy you might get made fun of, and interactions with girls might cause very negative outcomes. By and large if there's a way older dude getting jiggy with it, the crowd is usually rooting him on, though probably also taking videos and making jokes about it online.

You shouldn't feel unable to go at any age, but you should always act your age if you go. 30s you can let loose and act like a frat guy still. 40s a more stoic and reserved version. 50s+ just enjoy your zone and interact with people giving you positive interactions.

EDM is dead too, brah. It peaked in the late 2010's. Those people just dont have anything else worth listening to so they go to these lame ass "festivals" but it's not even about the music anymore. Just getting high and drunk around other people getting high and drunk. These Zoomers cant make music forchit and the Millenials are too old to make young people music. They outgrew it and the music they make sucks too. But if there's sloots there, well then, i guess it's better than nothing.

Tldr:

It. Over.

if they are playing music from the 80's and earlier you will see people in their 50's hanging out and having a good time.

but if you are trying to creep on the younger chicks you may end up in this type of situation.

You know what could potentially be the problem. Don't do it bro, wasn't as safe and effective as they said.

Keep that heart rate down as much as humanly possible. I fear for you.

Even if you managed to score a chick, do you think it's safe to actually have sex in your condition?

I party a lot less often than I did from 18-24 but my 30s have been great because when I do go out I don't worry about money and I travel to go to events I want to go to.

Plus I'm a lot more confident and generally care less of what other people think when I was younger.

I'm sure there are exceptions but most music festivals are full of people in their 30s.

I only went to them to get with sloots.
If you are going purely to enjoy the music there isn't an age issue.
If you are hitting on sloots then age matters.

age doesn't matter

all that matters for pulling is if you look good
